La La Laaa

2 main topics:

1) The Oregon Trail game on Facebook is my new obsession.  The first time I played I didn't really know what I was doing.  I left too late, and winter came, and I died.  'Twas not good.  The second time I made it to Oregon successfully!  Now, I'm going again.  You get to start over from the beginning where you left off, so I'm at a higher level and had more money to start with.  I bought new oxen, and I'm traveling much faster!

2) I bought a tape recorder today to use as a dream journal.  Now when I wake up in the night, I don't have to fumble to write down dreams in sleepy handwriting that I won't even be able to read the next morning!  It was actually funny at Best Buy, because I asked the guy if they had tape recorders and he gave me a really strange look.  Apparently, these days they're called voice recorders because most of them don't actually use tapes anymore.  I felt really old and out of date.

Anywho, that's all.  I have a headache.

See ya.

UPDATE:
I had 6 dreams last night.  I recorded 4 of them but was too lazy to record the other 2 I had this morning.  Most of them seemed to focus on my frustration with school and life either directly or in some underlying way.  I woke up after just about every one, so I was able to record them right away.  I noted the time of each one so I can go back and compare to how far apart they say REM cycles are supposed to happen.  It's gonna be good times.

  1. That's so cool that you're going to figure out the timing of your dreams! I think they say sleep cycles are 90 minutes long, but I've never tested that theory. Supposedly if you sleep in 90-minute increments (6, 7.5, 9 hours, etc.) you feel more rested in the morning.

  2. Sounds like you're working hard while you're sleeping. How do you rest? Can you help me stop thrashing/moving around in my sleep so much?

  3. I don't care if we get so advanced that recorders are controlled telepathically, and stored in my iris. I will still refer to it as a tape recorder. And get off my lawn you pesky kids!

  4. 1) I want to go to Oregon and not electronically.

    2) can you use pegasas to pull your wagon in that game? Get there quicker but might dump stuff out.

    3) Hope your REM cycles don't match mine.
